100 Fountain Spa Introduces Grape-based Purple Feet Pedicure, Summer Dream Spa Experience Contest
Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON – Visitors to Vintage Hotels’ 100 Fountain Spa and Secret Garden Spa will be now able to nourish body and “sole” with the spa’s new Purple Feet Pedicure. The grape-based treatment is not only indulgent but also healthy: it harnesses the anti-oxidant properties of grape extracts, which detoxify the body and skin.
Spa-goers will begin The Purple Feet Pedicure by soaking their tired feet in a luscious whirlpool bath while a roller/shiatsu massage relaxes their back. A perfect spa pedicure follows, featuring a grape scrub and maple-grape mask. The Purple Feet Pedicure is completed with polish. The treatment cost is $95 and includes a glass of wine from a local winery.
The Purple Feet Pedicure uses a “grape pomace”, which is a wine byproduct that mostly consists of dried and ground grape skins, plus some stems and seeds. The Cabernet grapes used for the Pedicure pomace imbue it with a very rich, dark purple colour.
