High Speed Internet Launched for Niagara's Rural Residents
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St.Catharines, Ontario January 19, 2006 Neighbourhood
Wireless, a Niagara-based wireless internet service provider, has introduced
an equipment rental program geared to Niagaras rural homes and
businesses.
Our new rental program makes it even more affordable
for residents in rural areas of Niagara to obtain high speed internet
service, says Ginger Blythin, a sales rep with Neighbourhood Wireless.
Increasing demand for high speed internet access is fueling
a dramatic shift from dial-up access to high speed choices offered in
the urban markets by cable and phone companies and local ISPs. However,
due to technical limitations, until recently these broadband choices
have not been available to rural or urban fringe addresses.
This service gives our customers the ability to
not only surf the web and access email, but also to remotely access
corporate networks, download music and videos, and use online gaming
and VoIP products. Many of these activities were either impractical
or not available to those with dial-up internet access.
Neighbourhood Wireless, a division of Talk Wireless Inc.,
has been offering wireless broadband internet service to Niagara area
businesses and residents since 2003. The company uses Motorola Canopy
technology to deliver its always on internet service faster
and more reliably than other WISP options.
Talk Wireless (TW) is a locally-owned and operated wireless
telecommunications company with offices in St. Catharines and Niagara
Falls. As an Authorized Motorola Two-Way Radio Dealer and TELUS authorized
Dealer, TW provides voice radio and
cellular telephony solutions to Niagara businesses and consumers. TW
also operates peninsula-wide radio communication systems in Niagara
and Hamilton which permit fleet and mobile workforce operators to communicate
with their people throughout
the Golden Horseshoe.
