We are a learning organization that strives to improve the quality of our programs and services by focusing on the needs of our customers, partners, volunteers and team. As a result of our commitment to continuous learning and quality management, we have proudly achieved the globally recognized registration ISO 9001:2000.
Extending technology; empowering others with learning technologies, opportunities and environmental stewardship are the driving forces behind RCT, and we invite you to support our vision. RCT is about extending technology and expanding minds.
COMPUTERS FOR SCHOOLS ONTARIO PROGRAM
Renewed Computer Technology (RCT) helps to meet the growing demand for computers in the classroom and community by delivering the Computers for Schools Program throughout Ontario. This Program accepts donations of surplus computer equipment from both the public and private sectors, then refurbishes and donates them to schools and not-for-profits across the province. Our Program helps students gain greater access to computer technology, and provides them with a learning tool for developing the necessary skills for excelling in today's competitive, knowledge-based, global economy. With growing public concern that not all students have access to or equal access to technology, we are committed to placing a computer into the hands of each student, and decreasing Ontario's existing student to computer ratio from 5.8 : 1.
CHARITIES ARE “IT” PROGRAM
As a not-for-profit, we understand the value of keeping connected to what matters most - your members, clients, and the community, both locally and globally. Our computer donation program can assist your not-for-profit or charity with meeting your overall goals and visions. It also adds value to your organization by strengthening your internal communications and learning, and capabilities for reaching out and connecting with your clients, and the larger community.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Rapid advances in technology have reduced the life cycle of electronic equipment which further impacts the environmental concern. Consequently, the reduced life cycle of technology increases the burden on corporations to be ethically responsible in the disposition of their surplus equipment while watching the bottom line. This is why we have developed the Environmental Management Program; to assist you in the process.
YOUTH WORK TRANSITION PROGRAM
Not only do we provide youth with paid training, our positions combine a rich diversity of experience into one:
